"O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful."
Surah Ahzab 33:59
"And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment…”
Surah Al-Nur 24:31
"The only statement of the [true] believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them is that they say, "We hear and we obey." And those are the successful."
Surah Al- Nur 24:51
Allah commanded us to cover ourselves and to wrap a portion of our head covering over our chest and not expose our adornments.  I bring this up because it bothers me that some sisters give excuses to other sisters that choose not to wear hijab/niqab by saying, “You shouldn’t tell a sister that she is wrong for not wearing hijab” or “You don’t know that sisters relationship with Allah…”. The fact of the matter is veiling ourselves is a commandment sent down by Allah and we should obey. It is there for our protection no matter if you see it that way or not.
Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:
"A believer is the mirror of his brother. A believer is the brother of another believer. He protects him against loss and defends him behind his back."
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad
As Muslims we should care for each other and want the same things for each other as we want for ourselves.  Every one of our ultimate goals should be Jannah and getting as close to Allah as we possibly can. If someone tells you something that, honestly if you look at it in an unbiased way and it’s the right thing to do, then strive to do it. No one said that doing the right thing is always going to be easy. But the reward with Allah is far greater than pleasing man. Allah knows that wearing the hijab is a hard thing to do if it wasn’t and everybody wore it there would be no reason to reward those of us who will wear it. If you are having an issue with wearing hijab pray to Allah to make it easy for you & make an effort. Even a baby has to crawl before they walk. But at least strive to do this for yourself.
