“O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal
your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness - that
is best. That is from the signs of Allah that perhaps they will remember.”
Surat Al-'A`raf (The Heights) 7:26
Sisters your modesty in dress is not something to be
taken lightly. I recently saw a video about a sister that said she doesn’t
think that it is a problem that she doesn’t wear hijab. And almost everywhere I
look I see a sister dressing in a way that isn’t modest. And then if you were
to tell them that you should dress more modestly there is always the saying,
“Only Allah can judge me.” Allah tells us if we see something wrong we are
supposed to try and correct it especially when it comes to our brothers and
sisters. The thing that I don’t understand is why some treat these ayats like
they are a game. Don’t you understand that one of the main reasons that Adam
and Eve got kicked out of Jannah was because they allowed Shaytan to trick them
out of their clothing?
“O children of Adam, let not Satan tempt you as he removed your
parents from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to show them their
private parts. Indeed, he sees you, he and his tribe, from where you do not see
them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe.”
Surat Al-'A`raf (The Heights) 7:27
Why would you even want to take the chance? If the mother
and father of us all can be kicked out of Jannah for disobeying Allah by
befriending Shaytan, eating from that tree, and then undressing themselves
because they listened to the whispers of Shaytan what do you think will happen
to us if we do the same. Modesty of course is in the way we act but it also in
the way we are supposed to dress for both men and women. But remember most of
the inhabitants of Hellfire will be women.
... I saw Hell also. No such
(abominable) sight have I ever seen as that which I saw today; and I observed
that most of its inhabitants were women....

Sisters they are just clothes. Who cares what people say
or how they may look at you. The reward from Allah is far better than
satisfying people that you don’t know and if you got to know them you may not
even like them. Allah knows what’s best for us. Put all your trust in Allah and
you can’t go wrong.
